Privacy Policy
TaliAds (taliads.com) measures whether AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews name and cite a business. This page explains what we collect to do that, what we do with it, and how you can have it removed. Questions go to info@taliads.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and, if you give it, your name. We use them to sign you in by email link and to send you service email such as invitations and alerts.
- Workspace content: the brands, domains, competitor names, questions and settings you enter.
- Measurement results: the answers AI engines return to your questions, the sources they cite, and checks we run on your public website.
- Google Search Console data, only if you connect it. See the next section.
- Access requests: if you fill in the request form on our home page, the name, email, company and message you send, plus the IP address and browser type, so we can reply and block abuse.
- Technical records: server logs (IP address, time, page requested) kept for security and debugging.
We use one cookie, which keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
Google Search Console data
When a workspace owner presses Connect Search Console, Google asks them to allow TaliAds
read-only access (webmasters.readonly) plus their email address. With that permission we:
- list the Search Console sites the account can see, so you can choose the one that belongs to your brand;
- read search performance for that site: the queries people typed, clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position;
- show which Google account is connected, using its email address.
We use this data only to show it back to the members of that workspace, inside TaliAds: real buyer searches in Questions, positions in Rankings, and content suggestions. We cannot change anything in your Search Console, and we never do.
TaliAds' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, do not use it to train AI models, and do not let people read it except where you ask us to for support, where security or the law requires it, or in aggregated form for internal operations.
The Google sign-in is stored encrypted and belongs to that one workspace; no other workspace can use it. You can end it at any time with Disconnect in Brand setup, which also asks Google to revoke it, or from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We use a small number of service providers to run TaliAds:
- Hetzner Online hosts our servers and database.
- OpenRouter and the AI providers behind it (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, xAI) receive the questions we ask on your behalf. They receive the question text, not your Search Console data or account details.
- Apify runs Google searches for AI Overview and ranking checks. It receives the search terms, not your account details.
We may disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect our users or the service from fraud or abuse.
How long we keep it
We keep workspace data while the workspace exists. When you disconnect Search Console, we delete the stored sign-in at once. When you delete a brand or a workspace, its data is deleted with it, and backups roll over within 30 days. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
Security
Connections are encrypted in transit. Stored sign-ins and API keys are encrypted at rest. Sign-in links are single use and expire after 15 minutes, and only a hash of each link is stored.
Your choices
You can see and edit your workspace data in the app. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or have your account deleted, email info@taliads.com from the address on your account. We reply within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell workspace owners by email before the change takes effect.
